Younity 2022

Orbit Entertainment was proud to partner with YoubeYou Aotearoa Charitable Trust to design and deliver three bespoke events in Tauranga Moana that celebrated diversity and inclusion. This three-part weekend, consisting of ‘The Fun’, ‘The Gig’, and ‘The Laughs’, was hosted in prime locations across the city, including Tauranga’s Waterfront and Baycourt’s Addison Theatre.

The weekend kicked off with ‘The Fun’, a free community event that brought people together to celebrate diversity and inclusion. Next up was ‘The Gig’, a concert featuring huge kiwi names such as Tiki Taane, Ashton Roots, WHERIKO, and even the legendary Richard O’Brien. Finally, ‘The Laughs’ was a side-splitting comedy show featuring the hilarious Justine Smith.

At Orbit Entertainment, we utilized our expertise in event design and delivery to ensure that each event was flawlessly executed and truly unforgettable. By partnering with YoubeYou Aotearoa Charitable Trust, we were able to deliver an event that celebrated diversity and inclusion while providing entertainment and fun for everyone in attendance.

Our collaboration with YoubeYou Aotearoa Charitable Trust was an incredible success, and we are thrilled to have been a part of such an amazing event that showcased the best of Tauranga Moana.

The Fun

A fantastic three-hour family event with art installations, markets, food vendors, swimming, interactive activities and much more. Adding to the charm of the event is the incredible interactive artwork crafted by Sam Allen, The Incubator: Creative Hub’s resident artist

The Gig

The open-air concert was a show-stopper that left the crowd in awe. The original Riff-Raff from Rocky Horror Picture Show, Richard O’Brien, joined forces with a company of Drag Queens and Tauranga Boys College students to deliver an unforgettable performance. And the icing on the cake was a stunning finale by Tiki Taane.

The Laughs

Chris Parker headlined “The Laughs,” a comedy festival extravaganza held at Baycourt’s Addison Theatre. The star-studded lineup of kiwi performers left the audience in splits with their incredible performances. The diversity wall created at ‘The Fun’ provided a colorful backdrop similar to the one seen in Live at the Apollo.
