The Broadcast Co. employed the services of Orbit Entertainment to manage the successful broadcast delivery of the Ohakune Mardi Gras 2022. This role included crew management, asset creation and procurement, creative direction of broadcast elements and liaising with event stakeholders to ensure all deliverables were met.
Ohakune Mardi Gras is notorious for challenging weather conditions and 2022 was no exception. Battling sleet and rain called for creative solutions to protect electronic assets and manage crew fatigue. The tricky conditions were only made worse by a total power failure halfway through the event.
Despite these challenges, we fulfilled our duties well and delivered a high-quality broadcast.
